The Clonedyke Saga

The world has become a hotbed of violence and hatred with  open acceptance for ’free speech’: partial truths, misinformation and absurd conspiracy theories: in other words outright lies.

Heaven is falling into chaos, and many disenchanted angels watch events on Earth with disgust. The human race is beyond salvation and needs radical redesign. The Angels solution is to distribute a substance to re-clone the human race, but it’s unstable, and they underestimate the extent of pervasive, ingenious human treachery.

Each of the absurd personalities are combinations of people from the first half of my life, so none are real … and if anyone thinks they recognise themselves, then please seek help urgently.

An adequate description would take several pages, so I felt that the book's title and this image give something more than a hint of the context, albeit maybe overcooked.

Written originally 30 years ago, I parked it away. I was emerging from long-term unemployment, only solved by training myself to write heavyweight software which required an irreproachable geek façade and an attempt to appear professional to semi-aware clients and management.

Those that proofread it asked if I was on LSD, but this was actually written only with the aid of red wine, champers and gin. Some reviewers mentioned that they felt obliged to read it in private to avoid being branded as unstable for laughing out loud in public. It's not an entirely serious book!
